Hi I'm Megan Hatt

I grew up working on my family's ranch. I love playing basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Utah. I grew up working on my family's pheasant ranch and playing sports. Throughout high school I played volleyball, basketball, and I ran track. Out of these sports my favorite is basketball and when I was in 9th grade I made it a goal to play basketball at the college level. My dream was fulfilled when I was offered a scholarship to play at Dixie State College (which is now Dixie State University). I played for two years but then left the team because of a career ending knee injury. I was working on my Associates Degree when my family and I took my sister, Crosby, to the MTC. Shortly after being there, I decided that after the semester I also wanted to serve a mission. Now I have been called to serve in the Russia Moscow Mission and will be speaking the Russian language. I am so excited to serve and teach the people of Russia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I love this gospel and what it has to offer. The Plan of Salvation (or Plan of Happiness) is really what helped me gain my own testimony of the gospel. Because of His plan, I know that I can live with my family for eternity and that I can return to my Heavenly Father and live in his presence. I know that Jesus Christ is my elder brother and that He lives! I know that my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ love me and want me to return to them. I love this gospel and its truthfulness and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Growing up in a small town created many service opportunities for the youth in the church because we knew everybody and usually knew if they needed help. We would help people clean up their yards, we would clean the park and help set up the booths before Melon Days (Green River, Utah is famous for its watermelons), we would take those who were having a hard time dinners and cookies, and so much more. I also have had callings in the church. I taught 3-4 year olds and when I was at college I was on the activities council and helped plan parties and fun activities for the ward. Now I am called to be a missionary and to share this amazing gospel with the people of Russia.
