Hi I'm Ashlyn

I'm a college student. I love playing volleyball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a little town in Idaho. I'm the oldest of 4 kids in my family. My younger brother has Autism, and he has helped me become more patient and understanding. I played volleyball all throughout high school, and I play any chance I get! I'm a Certified Nursing Assistant at a rehabilitation facility. I enjoy helping people heal and seeing the progress they're making! I am currently attending a university where I plan to study Nursing. I love listening to country music, appreciating good food, watching movies, eating anything made of avocados, lifting weights, and meeting new people! Last summer I had the opportunity to serve in various orphanages in South America, where I spent a lot of time holding babies, mispronouncing Spanish words, taking pictures and appreciating the circumstances God has blessed me with. I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission and devote my time and talents to the Lord for 18 months! Down the road I hope to find a worthy Priesthood holder who I can spend eternity with, and raise children of my own. I am optimistic about my future and I know that this church has made me who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this is the true church with all my heart. I have been so blessed to have loving parents, grandparents and friends who have the same beliefs as I do. I know that Jesus Christ died for me and you! He paid the ultimate price so we could have happiness and joy in this life, and in the life to come. I know that families are forever. I know that if I continue to have faith and do the things I know are right, I will be able to live with my Father in Heaven again. My life would be very different without this knowledge. I have felt the peace and comfort that the true gospel of Jesus Christ has to offer, and I am so thankful that I can share it with others.

How I live my faith

I pray every morning that I can see others as Heavenly Father sees them. I know that He loves them, so I do my best to help everyone feel God's love for them. I put aside time every day to study the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, a book I know to be true because I have read it and prayed to know of its truth. In high school, I participated in a program called seminary. Seminary is designed to help high school students learn more about Jesus Christ and the scriptures. I was called to be the Seminary Council President my senior year. I loved this calling, as I was able to invite others to come enjoy the blessings of attending seminary.
