Hi I'm Josh Banks

I live in Salt Lake City and I have been called to serve a mission in the California San Diego Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play any sports, but paticularly basketball and football. I have four brothers that I care a lot about, and I want to be a pharmacist after college. Math and science are my favorite subjects in school, but I also do well in English and reading. I love to laugh and make others laugh, so any joke is funny to me. I love to serve other people, I think that making a person happy is one of the most rewarding things we can do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I can feel it everyday and I know that God knows me and is watching and helping me all of the time. I can feel his influence and I know that this church is centered on him and his son Jesus Christ. The teachings all make sense to me and they are not restrictions but more like a seat belt where they protect me, even if it does feel a little constricting sometimes. I know that prayer is a communication with God, and that he truly does listen and hear our prayers. Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice in coming here to earth and atoning for our sins, and I know that through Christ and Heavenly Father I can once again live with them and live a happy and fulfilling life.

How I live my faith

I attend church each week, and I attend the temple at least once a month. My dad and I home teach two families in our area, and they are young couples and are so fun to talk to and be with. I help coach the young mens basketball team, even though I am more of a cheerleader than a coach at the games.
