Hi I'm Danielle

I grew up in a small town, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the youngest of seven children. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, all are married and most have children of their own. Sometimes it can be hectic with so many people around but I love them all the same. I love to read just about anything! I am currently going to college studying History. I hope to someday be a museum curator! I love world travel and can never wait to see and experience something new! I was a ballerina until my Junior year in high school and still love ballet to no end! I have been playing the piano since a young age (not that I practiced enough) and have always loved music. Recently I had the opportunity to be a nanny to two wonderful little boys in a big city and I loved every minute of it! I was raised in the LDS church and I just received a mission call to the Missouri Independence Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a raised as a Mormon in a small town in which the majority of its inhabitants were also members. I never had my faith questioned until I had the opportunity to live away from home as a nanny in a large city. I found myself part of a minority as far as religion was concerned and I became uncomfortable as I realized that my core beliefs were largely unpopular in the eyes of those I lived around. I realized, in those beginning months of being so far from home and what I knew best, that I would either stand tall holding strong to the beliefs that I had been taught or I would fall because my testimony was not truly my own. That's when I found myself on my knees asking my Father in Heaven, with real intent, with a real desire to know for myself if what I had been taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon was true. I received my answer. This gospel, this Mormon Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored gospel, the same gospel that Christ taught when he was on the earth. I knew then that The Book of Mormon was another testament of Jesus Christ. Since this experience my faith has been tested many times and I still find myself on my knees looking again for confirmation. But asking and knowing for myself has only made my testimony stronger. A way has been provided for us and Christ is that way and I know it to be true!

How I live my faith

I am an assistant manager in a popular retail store. I have always loved fashion but sometimes my desire to be modish and my choice to be modest clash. But I decided long ago that I would dress modestly, covering my shoulders and my legs down to the knee. At first I did this because I was asked to do so by my parents and church leaders. Then I realized the older I became the more I did it for myself. When I dress modestly I feel great confidence and respect for myself and for the body that was given as a gift to me by my Heavenly Father.
