Hi I'm Daniel Bentall

I grew up in New Hampshire. I love sports. I scuba dive. I cook mediocre food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old kid who grew up in a little town in southern NH. I am attending BYU-Idaho and have been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo, Utah. I love to cook food and eat, i make a mean lasagna, but I can't seem to gain any weight and still manage to be scrawny. I love all sports and enjoy playing and watching them. March Madness is one of my favorite things to watch. I am a certified scuba diver and enjoy diving when i get the chance. I love to play Kan Jam and Spikeball, if you have never heard of these go look them up, they are life changing games, maybe not life changing but they are pretty sweet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon or LDS church, but there comes a time when everyone has to convert. I went to church and lived the standards but did so with no purpose. I didn't know if this church was true plain and simple. I always thought there is no way to know that the Book of Mormon is true unless you read all the way through it. However, I read up to Alma like I've done 5 or 6 times and prayed to know. It was overwhelming or anything, but the Holy Ghost touched my heart and i knew it was true. When I knew the Book of Mormon was true, it put all my doubts of Joseph Smith to rest and I knew he was a prophet called of God. The reason I continue to follow His gospel is because of the peace, purpose and direction it brings into my life. Christ died so that I can return with my Heavenly Father, he died so that I can repent of every big or small mistake that I've made. It is my faith and belief in Christ that guides my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.

How I live my faith

I have volunteered at the soup kitchen to serve those less fortunate. I love to give back because I look back on where I grew up and how much I had and realize how easy my life has been. I want to help the lives of others so that i can make their lives a little more easy. I have organized youth group activities for my church, from reunions to dances. As I have grown older Ive come to realize that my faith makes me want to be a better person and makes me want to go give that homeless man a pizza, or volunteer at the soup kitchen. Everything that is good in this life comes from Christ and I strive to be more like him everyday.
