Hi I'm Elder Reed

I am 19 years old, I like to do anything that involves being outside, I want to be a doctor someday, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 19 years old. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Romania/Moldova! When I complete that I would like to attend school back home in Utah, and work on getting my Doctorate in medicine! I like to do almost anything that involves the outdoors such as; hiking, swimming, boating, biking, river rafting, four-wheeling, camping, and basically anything else that makes for a good time with friends and family! Family is an essential part of my life and I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for the lessons I have been taught from my parents, constant encouragement, and always showing love for me and my siblings in all that we have done! I love being around people and being very social and interactive! I have a love for this church and all the blessings I have received by being a member, I know that our heavenly father sees each one of us individually and that he is always there to help!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, through much prayer and yearning to know of the truth I have had it confirmed to me time and time again that what I believe in IS the fully restored and true gospel of Jesus Christ! I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God, and that it was through divine help that he was able to translate the Gold Plates into The Book of Mormon. What is The Book of Mormon you may be wondering? It is a book of many books that contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his teachings. I know that when I read, and pray about what I have read, Heavenly Father confirms to me that it is the truth. In my everyday life I feel the joy and comfort that I have of knowing that I have a purpose on this Earth and that there is a bigger plan that we are ALL apart of. I find great joy in knowing that when I have a family that death in this life will not be the end, but that I can be sealed to them for the eternities so that we can live in our Heavenly Fathers kingdom as a family. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and that he receives revelation concerning our welfare and best interests. I know this church is true, thats why I live it and I love it!

How I live my faith

As of right now, I show my faith by serving a full two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been called to serve in Romania/Moldova, and could not be any more excited! There is so many people in this world who are lost and looking for the fullness that the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ brings, and I get to be servant of the lord in bringing His gospel to those who are in need and ready to receive it! How awesome is that! Also in the church service is a huge part of living the gospel, and I come from a ward/community where doing service isn't a burden or a question. We seem to always have some project going on, so when I can I like to help with projects that might be going on such as; re-roofing someones home, shoveling snow, raking leaves, and anything else that requires me to volunteer my time! Lucky for me I am sure there will be many occasions on my mission to offer service. I always strive to try to be a great example and teach by my example, always trying to use and show Christ like attributes. I live each day to the fullest and make the best of every situation. I like to see people smile and be happy, so when I see someone who is down and needs a pick me up I try to reach out and make them laugh and make light of the situation. Trying to get them to see the situation positively and know that things will get better.
