Hi I'm Kylie

I'm an Aunt, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Theatre loving, book reading fool. I love my big family, with five siblings and 18 nieces and nephews we are over 30 people. Music is my true passion, listening and playing. I'm trying my hardest to become the best I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because of the love I feel. We believe that the first great commandment is to love the Lord, but the next commandment is love for our fellow men. We are all human, but we try our hardest to remember that we are all children of God, and he loves each and every one of us. The church pushes us to become the best people we can be, and to take responsibility for our actions. This church is very family oriented. I want my children one day to be raised in the church, just because of the closeness following this gospel can bring to the family. I love the peace and happiness I feel when I am helping others, and following the things that we believe Christ has asked us to do. In a world full of confusion I can find my clarity not only at church, but as well as in my own home studying the scriptures, or doing other things that are good.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to work in my ward, but I think my favorite was working with the children. I've been able to teach the nine year olds, about the stories in the both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I've also been able to offer my service as a free babysitter for those in my neighborhood. I love doing service, and I feel like I can be a tool in the Lords hands if I can lighten another persons load.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Kylie
We believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, basically that it just is another witness of who Christ is and what he did for us. We do not worship the namesake of the book "Mormon," but when the church first began many people believed that, as many still do today. We were then given the nick name "Mormon" in a very derogatory way. But the same way as "Yankee" was once a rude nick name but now has no ill will, we have embraced our "mormon" name. We are officially named The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints though. Show more Show less
