Hi I'm Taylor

I'm Arizona born and Michigan raised. I'm a missionary, Eagle Scout, dinosaur enthusiast, and a bit of a geek. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children, with two brothers and two sisters, and an awesome mom and dad. I was born in Arizona and live in Michigan, but I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Utah St. George Mission. I love dinosaurs, fossils, rocks, and living things, and I love nature and the outdoors, and it never ceases to amaze me how wonderful God's creations are, and how wonderful He is for creating all of it for us. Another hobby of mine is music. I play two musical instruments, the Cornet and the Native American Flute, the latter, for which I have composed and arranged several songs. And I love listening to classical/instrumental music. I also love to read. My favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkien, and I love his Middle Earth Universe. But my favorite book is the Book of Mormon, and the lessons I've learned from the Book of Mormon I have found to be priceless. Currently I am serving as a full-time missionary in southern Utah. I've been out a year, and have one more year to go. And I love it! After my mission, I will be attending BYU in Provo, and I'll be pursuing a career in paleontology.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of the church, so I was raised in the church. However, tha's not the real reason why I am a Mormon. Through reflection and pondering, I have come to know of the truthfulness of the gospel for myself. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus is the Christ, "the Son of the Living God", as the Apostle Peter put it so beautifully. I know, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and we have living prophets to guide us. By following God's plan, and through Christ's Atonement, we can return to Him and be with our families forever. That is why I am a Mormon: because I know that Christ lives, and that what he offers us is too good to refuse.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be like the Savior. I'm far from perfect, but I keep trying. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Utah St. George Mission. I'm giving up two years of my life to devote to serving The Lord and sharing His restored gospel with others. The gospel works wonderfully for me, and I want to share it so others can experience the same joy I feel as they come to better know our Heavenly Father, and come to better know His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
