Hi I'm Austin

I hail from Camas, Washington. I love my family, music, and all things math/science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Santa Clara, California, my family moved to Camas, Washington when I was three years old. I have a loving family consisting of my supportive parents and my two younger sisters, Madi and Savannah. I graduated class of 2014 from Camas High School and received my general associates degree from Clark Community College shortly thereafter. I’m a math science sort of guy with a focus on computers and I hope to get a degree and a career in that field. I love music. I play the trombone and piano, and I also enjoy doing some music composition when I can. But of all these things, what really defines me is that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is more to me than just being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, has brought true joy and peace into my life like nothing this world has to offer. I can testify that Jesus Christ lives, and that through faith in him and by actively using his infinite atoning sacrifice by repenting and striving to live the Gospel, we can return to live with our loving Heavenly Father again in perfect happiness. I have felt His love and I know that it is real. I love this Gospel and I look forward to sharing its message of peace and joy with the people of Brazil as I serve my mission there. This really is the true and everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that if you seek the truth for yourself, asking God in sincere prayer, He will bless you with a knowledge of its truth. I witness these things to you, in the name of our loving savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love being a Mormon. I attend church every sunday and enjoy doing so. Praying to our Father in Heaven and reading the scriptures, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon, are large parts of my life and give me strength and understanding. In the past I have served as a leader in the youth's young men program and have learned a lot from those callings. With my father, I visit members of our church in what we call home teaching and I love to serve them whenever I can. I am currently a member of the Elder's Quorum, a men's group in the church, in which I use my priesthood, or power to act in God's name, to bless and serve those around me. I have recently been called to be a missionary for this church, and look forward to serving the people of Brazil for two years. Being a member of this church and having the opportunities to be a part of all these things plays a major role on my life.
