Hi I'm Cassie

Serving a mission in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania! I'm an Arizona girl at heart,I love to laugh, family is everything, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Mesa Arizona and am currently serving a mission in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I am loving every minute of it, and see it as an amazing blessing in my life. I have an amazing Mom and Dad who have sacrificed so much for me, two wonderful brothers who mean the world to me, and 90 crazy fun cousins who make life so much more fun! My family means so much to me and they are all my best friends! I am a music lover and love to play the piano and violin.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was Mormon so it was pretty easy to go to Church every week. But as I got older I wanted to find out for myself if this whole Mormon thing was worth while, if what my parents have been teaching me was true. I spent many years praying, reading scriptures, going to Church, and searching out for myself if this gospel was true. I didn't get an answer all at once, little by little I developed a testimony of this gospel. I came to know of its fullness and truthfulness, I can testify that I know this gospel is true. This gospel has blessed me in ways I can't even describe, God is there for us no matter what happens in our life and we can always turn to Him.

How I live my faith

Its one thing to have faith and to believe in something, but it is even more important to show it! Serving a mission has been the best decision of my life, I have grown so much in a short amount of time. I am so excited to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone. I want everyone to have what I have in my life, because it has blessed me in so many ways. I left my family for 18 months so others could be with theirs for eternity.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Cassie
One thing we do as Latter Day Saints, is pay 10% of our income to the church, also known as tithing. Tithing is an amazing opportunity to build up The Kingdom of God on earth. Tithing is used for Building Temples and all other church buildings, supporting the programs of the Church, and supporting the activities of local Church congregations. God has given us so much, everything good in your life is a gift given to you by your loving Heavenly Father. When you pay 10% to him you are saying thank you, and you are showing your love and devotion to him. Tithing can be a difficult thing, but as you do this you are putting all your trust in God. When you pay tithing God blesses you in all aspects of your life. Paying Tithing is an amazing blessing I am so happy to be a part of. Show more Show less
