Hi I'm Kira

I love music and learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student majoring in Actuarial Statistics and minoring in Mathematics and Family Finance. I'm a new wife, I love my husband, and am excited to start a family with him. I love reading and music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this gospel. I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel little by little, until I knew without a doubt that these teachings are true. I know that God is our spiritual Heavenly Father, and that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I can someday become perfect and learn to be like my Heavenly Father and live with Him again. I know that families can be together for eternity.

How I live my faith

I taught youth at a girls camp, and I do my best to show kindness to those around me.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the greatest blessing given to mankind. Because of its infinite nature, we don't understand to the full extent how exactly the Savior accomplished Atonement, or the full effects of it. However, we do know that because His suffering and death, we will all live again after death, and if we love Him and do our best to become like He is, we can be clean from our mistakes and sins. Because of the great Atonement, it is possible to someday be perfect, and to live with our Father in Heaven once again. Show more Show less

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The welfare programs of the Church are not simply hand-out programs. The Church teaches each person to work to become self-reliant, and once one's own needs are met, to go out and serve others, and help others help themselves. A common adage illustrates this well: "Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat for a lifetime." Show more Show less
