Hi I'm Hayden

I am about to serve a mission in Natal, Brazil. I currently attend Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a regular college freshman about to serve a mission in Natal, Brazil. I have three brothers I love having fun with. I have lived in the Midwest region all of my life. I know how to live in the unforgiving cold of winter, the sweltering, humid summer, and everything in between. I like to laugh, smile, and have fun. I love to play sports, games, and instruments. Throughout high school I was involved in theater productions, choir, band and played on the soccer team. This past semester I was in BYU Men's Chorus.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always grown up in the church, but that is not why I am Mormon. God has given us this wonderful gift of agency and we, his children, are able to choose for ourselves whether we want to follow Christ's church or not. Having faithful parents really does help my conversion, but ultimately it is up to me to know that the gospel is true. I have come to know for myself that Christ's church has been restored here on the earth. I know the Book of Mormon, like the Bible, is another witness and testament that Christ is our Savior. I know Jesus Christ lives. I know he is my elder brother who loves and cares for me. I know through His infinite Atonement, we are able to return to live in His presence. I am so blessed to have the fullness of gospel in my life. I cannot wait to share it with others!

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend my most important meeting: church. Everyday I read my scriptures and say my prayers. I live with assurance that I know I have a Savior who loves me and I love sharing that message with the people I care about. Each day brings new challenges and situations that help me grow as a servant for our Lord. Being one of four Mormons at my high school is a challenge, but having a sure knowledge of the gospel helps me get through my day. Many people have questions that I am able to answer. This gives me the opportunity to be a teacher and a friend.
