Hi I'm Lei

I'm from the Philippines. I'm currently serving a mission in Philidelphia, Penssylvania. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My mom and dad got baptized before I was born so I grew up in the church. I was baptized when I was eight. I like watching movies. Specially sci-fi or fantasy movies. I love singing and I do sing in the church with my sisters. I was studying how to play piano when I was twelve but then I found it more interesting to play the guitar. I really want to go abroad and go to different places but my dream is to be able to visit Palawan (Philippines). I've tried teaching English to Korean kids. I like teaching and I also dream of being a veterinarian.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church so I found it hard to have that conversion unlike other converts of the church. I read the book of Mormon and I prayed for it. I felt peace and things that words cannot explain. I knew then that the book of Mormon is true. And that The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is also the true church of Christ here on earth. Already knowing my true purpose, I am always trying to do as what Jesus did to others. I do live with great joy knowing that I am a daughter of our loving Heavenly Father. And I want others to know their true purpose and true identity too, through sharing the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping my standards. Although I grew up in the church, there are still things that I would really love to learn and understand. When you learn things, you are invited to share it. So every time the youth leaders ask me and others to teach things related to music, specifically being a "chorister" or singing, dancing, etc., we go and teach them. I am also a ward missionary in our ward so I try to always go with the missionaries and share the gospel. I know it is important because it is one of the responsibilities of the members of the church.
