Hi I'm Kayla

I'm a born and raised Texan. I love playing the piano, reading, and baking. I love spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student who is working hard to keep up her grades in this competitive world. I love hanging out with my friends and family. I love reading, baking, watching movies, and playing the piano. I played the violin in my high school orchestra.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith translated it through God's power. This church has blessed me in countless ways. It's help me when I'm sad or afflicted and need guidance. Because of the lessons and principles that I've been taught in church, I know that Heavenly Father loves me and cares about everything that I'm going through. I know that He wants me to pray to Him for help and comfort. I know that He speaks to us through modern day prophets. He gives us counsel this way to warn and protect us. I know that Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for ME. He died for ME. He took upon himself MY pains and MY sins. He is my Savior and I love Him so much. This is His church.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Visiting Teaching Coordinator in my college ward. Visiting Teaching is a system that pairs two girls together (companions) to go and visit usually two girls every month to check up on them and see how things are going. As the coordinator, I am in charge of putting these companionships together and making sure that all the girls in my congregation get visited every month and no one is being left out or forgotten. I'm also preparing to serve an 18 month mission. I will leave everything behind: my family, my friends, my phone. For 18 months, I will devote all my time and energy into serving the Lord and sharing His gospel and teaching people about the love He has for each of them.
