Hi I'm Sarah Marble

Raised in Utah. Music is just half of what I am today; I play and sing. I'm going on a Mission. I am Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Nevada but grew up my whole life in Utah. Music is over half of what I am today. I play guitar, piano, and I sing. I first learned to play piano by teaching myself, and I now learn music by ear. When I was very young I nearly lost all my hearing. My family and I had no idea why. After every audio-therapy session and hearing test my parents and older siblings were told I may never be able to hear again. My Mom was currently working on her college degree when she started a college course of ASL. My audiologists told my Parents I would soon need to learn Sign in order to communicate. I never took anything out of what my Mom taught me from her college course. Living on the opposite side of a mountain range from a Lake, we took every advantage we had to go over the mountains to the lake. The following summer of when I lost most of my hearing, we had driven over the mountain range and had reached the top of the over pass when I saw the bright blue lake, and had first signed and spoken to my Mom for the first time over a course of months. From then on, i had started grasping Sign Language, and my hearing tests came back with better scores. Through my first years of high school my hearing was still unbalanced in both ears, but later resigned and returned to harmonic audio balance. We were advised by my audiologist that I should start incorporating music in my life more to keep my audio

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because I love my Heavenly Father and how much he blesses me every week, and everyday. I know that my Father Lives, and I wouldn't want to be a part of any other church, and I wouldn't want my life any other way without this amazing Gospel. The Mormon church is so different from other religions because our Church has the Atonement, which was given by Jesus Christ, Our beloved Brother. He died for each of us, and he experienced every pain for us that we may live again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending our block meetings every Sunday, partaking of the sacrament, being in service of my fellow men, reading the scriptures (my favorite is The Book of Mormon) and having two-way communication with my Heavenly Father.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Sarah Marble
There is a work for us missionaries to do, and not just missionaries, but all members of the Church. To invite all to Come unto Christ, and be Perfected in Him. (D&C 20:59) Missionaries are taught and trained to proselyte because It's a way of contacting people who may be interested, or who need the Gospel in their lives. You may have seen Missionaries walking door to door, or riding on bicycles, sharing the Gift of the Gospel. They are searching for those investigating for religion or interested in learning about the church. Missionaries are volunteers who serve for a time of 18 months or two years to devote their time to share the Gospel of Christ to others who are in need or in search of it. They meet people everyday, whether they want to hear about the church or not. Every missionary will be in a pair, or a companionship to teach with them, some certain times a tri-companionship of three missionaries for certain conditions. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Sarah Marble
As tradition in the Mormon church, Men and Women are given the opportunity to serve a mission, as serving in place of our Lord Jesus Christ, to invite others to come unto the church, and to come unto Christ. Not all are required to serve, it is strongly encouraged to Men, and Women are encouraged to go if they feel the need to serve. they are able to serve at 18 for the Men and 19 for the Women. Missionaries come from all around the globe to teach and preach the word of God. Missionaries are full time servants to teach in place of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not called to a place, we are called to serve in place of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Sarah Marble
We can come to know our Heavenly Father by talking to him through prayer, and asking for love and protection. We may feel his love as long as we do as he says and commands us each to do through the 10 commandments and standards of the Church. Staying close to our Heavenly Father will give us more comfort, bring us closer to him, and keep us from being tempted to do wrong. Our personal belief in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will grow tremendously as we follow them both in their footsteps. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Sarah Marble
It's a wonderful feeling! Having the Scriptures to learn from everyday is such a blessing I wish everyone could understand and have. Scripture study, attending church and personal prayer (direct communication with Heavenly Father) are the best ways to help us better come to know of the love Heavenly Father has for each of us and what he has in store for us all. I have not a single doubt that this church is the most true church on the earth. Show more Show less
