Hi I'm Amelia Hammond

I am a lover of ice cream, tractors, my family, my friends, and basketball. I am a busy body. I am a farm girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a freshmen at college. I served a mission in Estonia and absolutely loved it. I grew up on a family farm working right by the side of my parents and two older brothers. I was definitely raised with the mindset that I can do anything I set my mind to as long as I work hard. I love riding fourwheelers, playing basketball, playing soccer, playing the piano, hiking, reading or anything that keeps me busy. I love my time with myself but I am also a social butterfly. One of my passions is agriculture and I hope to help educate people about the importance of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel so very much. It brings so much happiness into my life. I love the fact that when I am distressed that our Savior, Jesus Christ, knows exactly how I feel and that through him I can be comforted. The Savior can also help us overcome our weaknesses which otherwise, without His help, would seem daunting and impossible to conquer. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. It is through this gospel that I can return to my Father in Heaven and have eternal happiness with my family and I want nothing more! This my friends, is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I believe that one of the best ways to be a true disciple of Christ is to serve others. I was blessed to have parents that taught this principle by example. I try my best to serve others when I have the opportunity. Whether it is helping out with a big community event or something as simple as helping someone carry stuff out to their car. Serving not only brings happiness to those you serve, but it also brings a great happiness to yourself that you can't find any other way. If you are having a bad day serve others! It makes your day so much better. I especially learned this principle while dedicating 18 months to serving people by serving a mission. I try to follow Christ by obeying his commandments and being a positive influence to those whom I associate with.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Amelia Hammond
Mormons try to follow Christ and we strive to become like him. Christ served everyone, so we believe we should also. There are many people in my community that are not Mormons that I know for a fact that many Mormons in my community would serve them without a bat of an eye. If someone stands in need we should do what we can to help them despite our differences. Show more Show less
