Hi I'm Maria Jose

I was born in Venezuela and I moved to the U.S. when I was eight. I love my family and the gospel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to experience and learn about many different cultures. Either by traveling to a new country (whenever I can afford it) watching foreign t.v. shows/films, reading books and listening to music from all over the world and different time periods. I find cultures fascinating and that is why I am majoring in Anthropology with minors in International Relations, Japanese and Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel brings me genuine peace and happiness. I know that Jesus Christ came to the world to sacrifice himself for us. He is the greatest example to me of selfless love and his sacrifice is the greatest act of love ever done in the history of mankind. I know that God loves each and everyone of us and that he wouldn't stop his work on the earth if it can provide us with eternal happiness. I know his gospel has been restored and for that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the small and simple things like reading my scriptures and praying daily. I find that it is sometimes the simple things that are the hardest to do. But I know if I do them my faith is strengthen and I am filled with peace and comfort.
