Hi I'm Katelyn

I've lived in Utah my whole life, but I love to get out and travel all throughout the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I don’t know how, but I was blessed with the most amazing people in my family! I am the youngest of five kids with 1 sister, 3 brothers and we the cutest puppy! My oldest brother is married to an amazing woman and they have an absolutely adorable son that is almost 1 year old. I have the most amazing parents that have worked so hard to give each of one of their kids the opportunities to succeed and have a wonderful life! I am a sophomore in college, working towards a business degree. We'll see where that takes my future. Last semester I took a break from my major and went on a study abroad to Jerusalem and studied the Ancient Near East. I loved every minute I was there and am most grateful for the experiences I had in the Holy Land and with the wonderful people that live there! I hope I can go back sometime soon. Some of my favorite things to do are playing most any game (I’m not really a fan of playing hide and go seek with my brothers though….), cooking/eating (not a good combo), traveling, playing with my puppy, sleeping, movies, enjoying the beauties of nature and taking pictures of it. That's me in a nutshell!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church, but that does not mean I have not had doubts or the need to become a convert. I had to read the Book of Mormon and pray to receive a confirmation that this church is true. I did not have an angel appear or any earth shaking experience, but I have often felt the quiet peace of the Spirit testify to me that it is true. My testimony formed in a gradual process that continues still today. I know that Christ suffered for my sins, died, and rose again and lives for me. I know that the fullness of Christ's gospel was restored through Joseph Smith and that through him, the Book of Mormon, another testament of Christ, was brought forth. This book is wonderful and brings a peace and happiness into my life every time I read from it. It is the word of God! I know that there is a great happiness in this Church and that cannot be found anywhere else. I am a Mormon because, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;". I love this with every fiber of my being!

How I live my faith

I try to make each day better than the one before by serving those around me. I want to be able to give all I have to my Heavenly Father and to Christ who have given me everything and blessed my life. I strive to stand worthy and ready for anything they may ask me to do. I currently am preparing to serve a Spanish speaking mission in California. I can't wait to share the blessing this gospel has brought to my life.
