Hi I'm Keith

I speak Chinese. I love riding bikes and being active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In high school, I was heavily involved in theater and band. I played the trombone in the marching, concert and jazz bands. After high school, I served a 2 year mission in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I studied Chinese at Brigham Young University where I met and married my wonderful wife. We recently moved back east to try to find employment where I can utilize the skills I acquired on my mission in Taiwan.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is a Mormon family. I grew up learning about what it means to be a Mormon. There wasn't ever one specific moment that I knew this is God's church, it was something that came little by little, bit by bit. As I would practice the teachings from church, I would feel a difference in my life. When I read the scriptures and applied their lessons, I could see the effect they had on me and those around me. I have always been able to find answers to my questions. Those answers often came through teachings in the scriptures or at church or from talks given by the Prophet and Apostles at our semiannual world wide church conferences. Other times, they came through personal inspiration. There are countless experiences that have confirmed to me that I have made the correct decision to be a Mormon and I am grateful every day because of it.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth at church. Every other Sunday, I teach the young men. We discuss faith building topics as well as how they can prepare to become self sufficient men and eventual husbands and fathers. I also meet with them during the week where we participate in the scouting program. At home, I try to stay close to God so I can recognize His direction in my life. I know that He wants me to be a good husband and eventually a good father. I know that as I stay close to Him, he guides me and helps me become the man he wants me to be.
