Hi I'm Erin

I grew up near Salt Lake City, Utah. I love music and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really like to read and to play the piano and listen to music. I also love being with people, biking, and swimming. I really, really like weddings. I grew up in a big family and I love them! I am the 7th out of 8 kids and one of my favorite things to do is to spend time with them. One of the things that I most want to do in my life is help other people, either physically or emotionally. Even just helping out with their little problems in everyday life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that this is the true church of God and that it is the restored church that Jesus Christ established over 2,000 years ago when He was living on the Earth. I am a Mormon because I have been taught things that have given me the strength to keep going, and to keep trying to be better, even when it was so hard to make the choices that would help keep me on the right path. I made the choice, and I continue to make the choice everyday, to be a member of this Church, because I have felt the redeeming love of the Savior and the strength that He gives me, even when I am so undeserving, and I would not have the faith that I have, which enables these essential things in my life, if it weren't for the principles and doctrines that I have learned by attending my church meetings every week. I also have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, which book is the keystone of the Mormon church. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, given to and recorded by prophets throughout history, and then translated by Joseph Smith for us to have and to study in the latter days, as a companion to the Holy BIble. I also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, along with every single prophet and leader of this church since his martyrdom, including the current prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church each Sunday and studying the scriptures everyday of the week. Doing these things helps me be closer to the Spirit, which in turn, helps me be more aware of the needs of the people around me. I try to look for ways and opportunities to serve others everyday, and then have the courage to follow through on those opportunities. I don't currently have a calling in my ward, but I do help to teach the Sunday School lessons every now and then. Preparing those lessons teaches me so much about the topic that I either didn't know or just had forgotten and had to be reminded of, thereby, strengthening my testimony of those things.
