Hi I'm Robert Ditty

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love the great outdoors, making friends, and serving others! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the hardworking son of two awesome parents, Neil and Stephanie. They have raised me to look at the world with a kind and respectful attitude. I am very passionate about life! I love to play any sport, but my favorites include tennis, racquetball, basketball, soccer, football, and volleyball. I also love to ski in the mountains during winter time, and hike the mountains and trails of the great American West! I am an Eagle Scout, which means I am very devoted to my God, my country, and to my way of life. I am currently serving a two year mission to Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. One of my goals on this mission include serving the people there, and showing them how much I love them. My main goal is to teach them of another who is much greater than me, one who loves them beyond comprehension. His name is Jesus Christ, and He is the Savior of all mankind!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? To me the answer is simple. I love life, and I truly desire to be a part of anything glorious, wholesome, and good. This church is the true church of Jesus Christ, restored to the earth again through the Prophet Joseph Smith. My life hasn't been perfect. In my nearly twenty years on this earth, I have seen the standards of the world decline dramatically. I haven't always been able to keep myself separate from that. But through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I have the amazing opportunity to change every week as I attend Sacrament Meeting. This has brought hope, peace, joy, and a firm conviction to share my happiness with others. As I said, I seek after anything wholesome or good. I desire more than anything to have truth in my life. The teachings of the gospel of Christ are truth. They are good and have guided me in my young life. I am so grateful I was born into this church. Now that I have left my good parents, I have had to decide for myself whether these things are true. And I testify that as I have done good, the truths of the gospel have been made manifest unto me. It took action and faith on my part, and even now I am still faithfully acting on what I know to be true. As I do so, I find that I am happier, protected, and more at peace in a world of confusion. If you are hesitant about becoming a member, I exhort you to join us in the ranks of Christ! I promise you will not regret it. For I know He leads this church, and He desires for you to come unto Him.

How I live my faith

Before I went on my mission I was the leader of the group of young men in my ward. I worked closely with the leaders of my ward, and in the process I grew a lot in my Faith, and also helped others to grow in their Faith! As I attended Riverton High School I became very active in serving my fellow members of the church, as well as those in the community. I volunteered at Kauri Sue Hamilton school once a week, a school for the disabled and special needs. I also performed service projects through the Boy Scouts of America program, which included painting fire hydrants, raising money for local hospitals, donating blood, etc. I love to help people with anything they might be struggling with in life, and I try to keep myself worthy and clean so that I can have the companionship of the Holy Ghost, which I testify leads and guides me to do good.
