Hi I'm Analise

I grew up in a small town called Logandale, Nevada, and I absolutely love it! I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small town, as in I live on a dirt road with fields and cows surrounding my house. I grew up in the same house my whole entire life. I have 2 younger sisters who are currently serving missions in Mexico and New York, an older brother who served in Chile, and two younger brothers in high school. In high school I cheered, played the flute in the band, and ran track. I graduated in 2010 and started school at BYU. While at BYU I traveled to Jerusalem, Turkey, Jordan, and China. I absolutely LOVE traveling and taking trips. I also love to run. I have ran 7 or 8 half marathons, 2 full marathons, and 1 ragnar. I'm not fast, but I love it. I also like to hike, camp, fish, go shooting, fourwheeling... Really anything outdoors. This last December (2014) I graduated BYU with a bachelors of science in civil engineering. I am currently working in Provo for a small structural engineering company until I leave for my mission. I received my call to the Peru Lima North mission, and I can't wait to serve!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Both of my parents are members and because of this I have gone to church from the time I was a baby to the present. I was baptized at 8 and most of my friends were members. However, I have gained a testimony for myself that this is the true gospel. God does love each and every one of us and wants us to return to him. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints has brought such peace and joy to my life. I have been able to turn to the Savior when I am having hard times. Because He has suffered for not only my sins, but my pains and afflictions, He builds me up and comforts me in the exact way I need it. He has also broken the bands of death and I know that as I live worthily I can return to live with my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and my family forever. Knowing this has made the deaths of loved ones easier. Because I know that there is a life after this, I know that I will be able to see my family and friends again. Right now I am in college and I have had many questions about who to date, what to major in, what to do after I graduate...etc. I feel that as I have lived righteously the Lord has guided me down the path I need to be on and it has brought me so much joy. I am grateful for the knowledge and light this gospel has brought me and the inspiration I have received though out my own life by living worthily.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the promptings I receive from the Lord. It's not always easy, and I'm kind of a stubborn person. However, I know that when we do we are so happy, because the Lord knows what is best for each of us. I also live my faith through my example I set for others. I obey all of God's commandments. I don't drink or smoke, I am honest, and I live a chaste and virtuous life. I try to live in a way that I can always have the Lord's spirit with me, and I hope that as I do others can feel of his spirit and the love he has for each of his children. I have had several different callings in my church over the years. As I receive them I accept them and carry out those callings to the best of my ability. Even if it is something I don't feel qualified for, because who the Lord calls he qualifies.
