Hi I'm Leah Pitman

I grew up in Yarmouth Nova Scotia,Canada. I am a wife,a mother to three adult Children and a Grandmother of two sweet girls.

About Me

I am an out going person with a sense of humour. I love spending time with my family. I love my husband who gives me strength when I need it. I grew up with two wonderful parents who raised my three brothers and myself to be the best that we can be and to respect other people. My favorite times are when the Children and Grand babies are here with us. They are so fun to be around and we make each other laugh, we have a lot of fun with them. The grand babies definitely keep us feeling young at heart and at the same time they tire us out completely in a good way.I work at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital as a housekeeper. Although I am not a caregiver a feel that the work I do does help the patients there. Sometimes a patient looks forward to seeing and talking to the housekeeper ,we can be a help to them by just listening to them or just smiling at them as we clean their space. I do love my job.

Why I am a Mormon

Hmmm, Why am I a Mormon?? Well, first of all I love Jesus and What better Church to attend then the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Yes !! A church in His Name.I wasn't always a Mormon, I was raised Anglican but converted when some Missionaries came to my house with a message...it took me a little while because I had a lot of Questions and the Gospel helped to answer all of my questions. I love that we can be with our Families after we leave this earth.I love being part of a big Family,I love Heavenly Father, I love our Savior Jesus Christ and am so grateful for His sacrifice to us. I love that we have the presence of the Holy Ghost and the better we are in the gospel the stronger the spirit is. I love the Church. It is true, The Gospel of our Lord and Savior is true. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church so I can be inspired by other people and their wonderful testimonies. I love to feel the holy spirit during sacrament meetings. It fills my heart with joy and love for the people around me. I go visiting teaching and enjoy having the missionaries over for some gospel reading or just to talk about any aspects of the church. Every day is a new day to learn new things. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I try to Pray often and Love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
