Hi I'm Rebekah

I grew up all over the United States and study English Literature at a small university. I adore the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Rebekah, and since I was a child I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I consider my heritage of faith a great privilege. I am the oldest of three children, and I adore my two younger brothers. I used to call them my "little" brothers, but now they are both 6'2" and much bigger than me. For the last year and a half I have been attending college and studying English Literature. My interests include literature, biology, and history, and my life goals are to become a mother, an occupational therapist, and to travel. Recently, I have been called to serve in the Bulgaria Sofia Mission, and I look forward to this opportunity. I love meeting new people and learning their stories, and I am constantly in awe of all God's creations...especially with those who can capture His creations in visual and literary art. Life is stunning.

Why I am a Mormon

I have experienced the redemptive and enabling power of the Atonement in my own life. My personal conversion has taken place as I have implemented the cleansing power of Christ's Atonement and exercised faith in Him. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and that it is a perfect witness that the Gospel of Christ and His power has been restored to the Earth today. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. By private swellings of the Spirit and through sincere prayer I have come to know these things for myself. This is a Gospel of doing. Living it leads to loving it and having an increased capacity for love of all those around you.

How I live my faith

There are many opportunities to serve in the Church. For the next year and a half I will be serving the people of Bulgaria and Turkey as a missionary. My purpose as a missionary is to invite others to come unto Christ. The Gospel has brought light, hope, and peace into my life, and my desire is to share its truths with those I teach. Living my faith on a daily basis, especially through my personal prayers and scripture study, has brought me closer to God and filled me with love for Him and His children. This love makes me anxious to serve and bless the lives of those around me, and to live my life like a true disciple of Christ.
