Hi I'm Sarah

I love to sing, dance, play with my siblings, and write. I hope to be a Mechanical Engineer after my mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a bundle of interests, and I don't know where to stop. Writing is a release for me, and I enjoy writing short scenes. I love music. I play violin and sing (oftentimes throughout the house to the slight annoyance of my family), and I love to ballroom dance. I adore math and science. I am currently working to become a Mechanical Engineer. I like running, though I identify more with the tortoise than I do with the hare--slow and steady wins the race...Right? I love my siblings. I don't know where I'd be without them, and I love playing with dolls with my little sister and making up stories with her.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this Gospel is true. I feel it when I teach it to young children. I feel it when I walk to classes. I feel it when I serve. I feel it when I take care of young children. I feel it when I read His word. I feel this indescribable joy through this Gospel, and it makes me feel like singing, laughing, and sitting in silent awe all at the same time. This Gospel is so complete. I feel peace, and I have a strong desire to share this peace that I feel. I know that The Book of Mormon the word of God. The Bible (as long as it is translated correctly) is the word of God. I know that the church was restored through Joseph Smith, and that President Thomas S. Monson is our prophet on the earth today. I am so grateful for a living prophet! I know that families can be together forever. We are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father loves each of us--individually, completely, and perfectly. I know that He loves each of His children more than I can ever understand because I have felt His love. I know that Christ made it possible to return to Him, and that he suffered for our sins. He understands us perfectly. This knowledge means so much to me- knowing who I am, where I have come from and where I am going. There is so much potential for each son and daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things: reading my scriptures, going to church, saying my prayers, trying again every day, etc. I do my best to focus my life around service. At church I teach young children, and I take care of other children during the week as a part of my job. At home, I do my best to help strengthen my family and help them in their quests so that we can have a happier home. I also live my faith by trusting the Lord. All I want to do is His will, and I know that whatever He wills me to do is best. I hope that by following His commandments and doing His will that I will make a difference.
