Hi I'm Serena

I grew up in Las Vegas and I'm currently living in New York City serving as a full-time missionary and I love it.

About Me

I was born in Prescott, Arizona and grew up in Las Vegas Nevada so naturally I love the sun! When I graduated from high school I went to school at BYU-Idaho for three years. I then decided to serve a mission and am currently here in New York City and will return home March 2015. I love to run, play tennis, and be outdoors. I have one brother and three sisters and I'm the middle child. I love to cook and bake and eat! I love musicals and have a secret wish to be in a musical one day. I also want to run a marathon one day and travel around the world. I love my family and my sisters are my best friends. I love my dogs, I have two cocker spaniels and they are so cute! I also enjoy playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored on the earth today by the Prophet Joseph Smith and it is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can understand our purpose and how to return home to our Heavenly Father. And most importantly I know the gospel blesses families and is for families. The family in central in God's plan and I know that no matter what trials may come the gospel teaches us how to overcome and endure and I find much peace in that. I know that God loves each and every one of His children and I feel His love everyday especially when I pray. I know that Christ lives and loves us too and I'm grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New York City and I love it. I get to meet lots of interesting people everyday. I love to read the Book of Mormon, it brings peace to my life and helps me understand my purpose.
