Hi I'm Marisa

Born and raised in California, baker, loves giving service, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, born and raised. I enjoy playing soccer, quilting, and I love baking. I'm a college student who just recently gained a testimony of my own once leaving home.I've always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, born and raised. When I was little my parents were inactive members, I went to church with my aunt and grandparents. As a toddler my parents chose to come back to church, and ever since then, they have been wonderful examples to me. I have leaned on their testimonies as a teenager. Once I started college I knew it was time to gain my own experiences, this included a testimony. It wasn't an easy path, it was pretty rough bumpy, but slow and steadily my testimony shined through my words and actions. Through the different callings I have held my weaknesses have slowly become stronger, and eventually I know will be some of my strengths. While away at school I was called to serve as a Relief Society President, me an 18 year old girl, that was when I knew I was called by God to help the people around me. Through my small daily struggles, I have learned to love and serve the people around me. It has been a great lesson that I am so grateful for and glad I learned so early in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Like I said above, I've been going to church since I was a baby, so really I don't know anything different. I have asked sincerely to the Lord if this is the true church, and my answer came in an unexpected way, not one I was really prepared for. Needless to say, prayer works, as well as reading the scripture if it be the Book of Mormon or The Bible.

How I live my faith

While in the Young Woman I was the Beehive class president as well as the Laura class president and served in the presidency as a Mia Maid. Just after graduating high school the bishop called me to be a leader in the Nursery many of us know how much fun this call can be, but also how difficult. Now I am preparing to serve as a full time Missionary, and I am extremely grateful for the blessings I have received for just committing to do so. Along with participating in all my Sunday meetings, I do my best to participate in anything that happens weekly including going to the temple as often as possible.
