Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Miami Florida. I'm an abstract artist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about my art, it relaxes me. I have been working since I graduated high school as a tutor. I am a college student majoring in Criminology; I am part of Student Government in my school. As a Senator in SGA I participate in many community service events in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people think being a Mormon is restricting, there are so many rules to abide by, but I love this gospel because within it contains answers to questions I've had. Where I came from, and where I am going. I know with a surety I can see my family and be reunited with them after we've past. I am a Mormon because I get to live with my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I love this gospel more than anything else and I try my best to live it. After I graduated high school my bishop gave me a calling, teaching the youth on Sundays, the youth I had just left less than a week before. I was only 18, some kids were that age or getting there. It was challenging but I prayed for strength and Heavenly Father gave me more than enough, I taught them for one year. I thank God for giving me that opportunity because I know I learned more than they did. I learned to love the youth, no matter how hard it was to teach them. The youth are the most important part to a society I think. They will become leaders and they need to be taught and guided. I was able to humbly serve the Lord in his errand if only for a short time.
