Hi I'm Bre Palmer

I'm a little bit goofy. I'm a missionary. & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing. I've been singing ever since I could put words together- I don't claim to be any Beyoncé, but it brings me a lot of joy. I laugh at everyone's jokes.... I love the outdoors: Rock climbing, four wheeling, camping, basketball, volleyball, hiking, boating, caving. --- You name it! Back in the old days, I dedicated a lot of time to extra-curricular activities. My parents were the type that made us try EVERYTHING; from ballet, to softball, to clogging, to gymnastics, volleyball, track, softball, cheerleading, and basketball- I've learned to love everything. Though I had a great upbringing, full of adventures, over the years I have come to learn what is most important to me: my faith, my family and my future. I'm serving a full-time mission in the Washington DC South mission (the best mission) and it has been the greatest adventure. (2015-2017) I'm from a very small town in Utah, typical...A Mormon from Utah? I was raised LDS: I have 6 siblings (fun fact: all our names start with the letter 'B'). But my faith has always been tested and tried, I've had to dig deep to discover for my self if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is THE true church. I found my answer, after a LOT of diligent prayer and study.. It has brought me the most joy and peace knowing that God is mindful of not only the world.. But He is mindful of me.

Why I am a Mormon

We can be free. "Free of pains & anguish, our weaknesses & short-comings, our fears & frustrations, our disappointments and discouragements, our regrets & remorse, despair & desperation, the injustices & inequities we experience & the emotional distress that besets us." I love the Book of Mormon-Read it! It allows us to know and understand the character of our Savior more than anything else. We can live with our families, our Father and His Son for eternity-that's a long time. My life threw a curve ball after my parents divorce, and it took a major toll on me and my faith. I allowed myself to make excuses for silly choices I was making (not doing the simple things: church, pray, read). I was upset, and allowed the "natural Bre" to shadow the love my Father was trying to show me. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I was able to feel worth again. I am SO happy. And it's because of the hope that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

#1: I love being a missionary--SO much! Growing up in the gospel, it was easy to rely on my parent's beliefs to 'live my faith'. Now that I can finally say "I know...", I live my faith by sharing it (yes, I'm a missionary), but I don't need to baptize everyone I see to live my faith, I just try my hardest every day to see and love others as Christ does.
