Hi I'm Caroline McKenzie

I am Caroline. I like rocks. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Milan Italy. I am a lover of marching band, enjoy playing ultimate Frisbee, love to play music regularly. I am also a lover of earth and anything that comes with it. I will admit I have many absurd quirks, such as my obsession with the color glitter (yes, glitter is a color) and my hobby of collecting rubber ducks. I love anything that sounds or smells pleasant. I have some stomach problems, and finding food appropriate for me to eat is a struggle. But those don't stop me from living an active life. I love the outdoors- hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, camping, you name it I love it. I am overly grateful for the life I have been given and the opportunities I am constantly surrounded with. I have worked hard for what I have, and will continue to work for what I get. I am grateful for the talents the Lord has blessed me with, so that I can be able to live such a comfortable active life. I am also grateful for my trials, that give me something to learn from. And I am grateful to be born a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am grateful to be a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was "born into the covenant", meaning that I have been living in a Mormon family, surrounded by Mormon culture since the first time I blinked. That, however, doesn't mean that I have believed since the first time I blinked. At a certain point, I prayed to my Father in Heaven deeply about my purpose on earth. While studying in the Book of Mormon, I received an answer to my prayer in my heart which filled me with immaculate love. It was then that my testimony grew that God loves me, and it was then that I learned that I have a purpose here on earth to share that love with the people I am surrounded by. I am Mormon because God loves me, and I love him, and I will share that love with others.

How I live my faith

I enjoy genealogy and believe firmly in the power that family history plays in tying families together not only on earth, but as I go to the temple, for eternities. I use this calling to help me live my faith, because as Latter-day Saints, we believe that this gospel blesses families. This helps me to bless my family both past, present and future in sharing this gospel and binding us together forever. I live my faith by being an instrument in the hands of my savior Jesus Christ. I have been sent to this earth to be an example of Jesus Christ, and to serve everyone around me as Jesus would. I know that to be an example, I will make certain sacrifices. I will live my faith by exercising charity, and love and kindness to everyone, no matter the circumstances. I am not perfect, due to my human nature but I will try my best because that's what Jesus would want me to do. I will live my faith by sharing my faith and what I believe in. I desperately wish for the world to know that they have a father in heaven who loves them, and cares about them. So I will share it. I will share God's love with those who believe it and those who don't because no matter the circumstance, everyone need's a friendly reminder that they are loved.
