Hi I'm Luke

I am the oldest of six. I enjoy music and running. I am preparing to serve a mission in Ghana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since I was little I have loved to learn. I would read books about all kinds of interesting things from history to chemistry. I also love kids and am grateful to be the oldest of six kids as well as over twenty cousins, most of whom I get to see often. In school I played the trombone in our schools band and jazz bands. I was also in the choir. It is very fulfilling to work on songs until they are as close to perfection as possible and then perform them. I also started running in school and now enjoy going on runs to get exercise and to think. I attended a semester at BYU in fall of 2014. I am studying to be a chemical engineer. I enjoy listening to music and staying up way too late talking about all sorts of things with friends. I like board games and can play them for hours. I am excited to serve a mission in Chana this March!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family, but that is not enough to convert a person, I had to find out for myself if it was true. Through study and prayer I was able to find out and feel for myself that this is the true church of God. I love everything this church teaches and how the doctrines it teaches are what leads to true and lasting happiness in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every week as well as other activities. I have participated in several performances put on by our church that were open to the community. One of these was a selection of songs from Handel's Messiah. Another was called "Savior of the World" and depicted the events leading up to the birth of Christ. I will leave in March to serve as a missionary in Ghana. I will be spending my time there helping other people know their savior Jesus Christ and draw closer to Him.
