Hi I'm Jeannie Park

I love being a part of this church! I am privileged to be a Mormon!

About Me

I love meeting new people. I love learning about them. I love spending time with them, I love loving them! I am a college student, but I don't exactly know what I will go into. But I know that as long as I follow God's will, I will be happy. Oh! And I am a huge Harry Potter fan. :)

Why I am a Mormon

After high school, I decided to attend one of the universities run by the Church. In Fall 2012, I decided to take a Book of Mormon class. One of the assignments was to read the Book of Mormon everyday. As I read it everyday, and pondered on it, my desire to come closer to God grew. Right about the time the semester began, missionaries called me. I began to meet with them. I began to see the blessings of having the Gospel in my life. I was happier. I felt light fill my heart. I was overjoyed. I saw the world with a renewed perspective. However, I denied having gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I decided that I didn't necessarily need to join the Church to continue to have this joy, so I stopped meeting with the missionaries. In December that year, I received a phone call. It was from missionaries- different than the ones I had met. I met with them twice a week after that phone call. Heavenly Father softened my heart. The missionaries helped me to feel Heavenly Father's love. They truly sought to become my friends, inviting and helping me to come unto Jesus Christ. Eventually, I got baptized. I am so happy. The decision I made to be part of this Church has been the best decision I have ever made. I have God's promise that I get to be with the Holy Spirit always, whose guidance is essential if I want to return to live with Him again. And I want more than anything to live with Him again. To live with my family for all eternity. It is only possible through Jesus Christ and His Atoning sacrifice. I'm a Mormon because I want to receive all the blessings Heavenly Father has in store for me. I know that a living prophet guides this Church, and that he holds the Priesthood keys necessary for the salvation of men.

How I live my faith

I try my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ everyday. I am serving a full-time mission so other people have a chance to have the light and happiness that come from living this Gospel. I study the scriptures everyday, and as I ponder and pray about what I read, I receive guidance on what I can do to overcome my weaknesses. This Gospel has changed me so much, and I am going to continue to give my all at trying.
