Hi I'm Jade

I am English and proud of it. I Love my family. I am one of seven children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of seven children. And love it, Sports are my favourite; football, netball, volleyball & basketball - pretty much any sport... I am preparing to serve a mission. I am so excited. I love to sing - wish i could play a musical instrument - something i will achieve (at some point).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, and raise by my parents learning the teachings of the gospel. I loved learning about the life of Jesus Christ and the miracles he performed. I loved learning of the person he was and i strive everyday to become more like him. My parents brought me up following the teachings we learn of in the scriptures; to pray, partaking of the sacrament, preparing for baptism, striving to become like Christ. We read the scriptures as a family daily and i was taught to do so individually (you learn most by studying the book of Mormon on your own). I loved learning of Joseph smith and his story. His journey of restoring the true church on the earth and how this event changed him and from hearing his testimony written in the book of Mormon strengthens mine own and inspires as a me. Growing up in the church must be easier. I was brought up on the teachings of the gospel BUT i've had friends tell me i am only in the church because of my parents. I can tell you this is not true. If i wanted to leave the church i could there is nothing stopping me. But i do not want to. I was brought up on my parents testimony but i have my own testimony now. I love being a Mormon. I love the standards it teaches, i love how important the family role is, i love the guidance it gives me in my life and the knowledge I have come to gain. I believe in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to sing, so my calling is perfect for me. I teach the primary which are children aged 4-11. I sing songs with them and play games to help them learn the songs and teachings of the gospel. We have so much fun. I am a visiting teaching companion with my mother - we love sharing this with each other - we have a few ladies assigned to us to go each week to teach a little message and see how they are doing. When the assigned chorister is away i stand in, and conduct the congregation - leading them in the music. My Great Auntie and sister taught me this talent.
