Hi I'm Elder Dexter Reyes

I am a Missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

About Me

Hello, my name is Dexter Reyes. I am 18 years old from Melbourne, Australia. I recently received my Mission Call, I have been called to serve in the Philippines Quezon City Mission. I have 5 people in my family including me and all my siblings are boys. I recently finished year 12 at school and I am now working casual work at a pick packing factory. Factory work is not something I want to take in as a career but I am doing this to save up money for my mission fund. I am about to hand in my Mission Application and I am very excited. What I love is sport, basketball is my favourite sport and I have a big passion for it. If I could play basketball and get paid at the same time, I would pretty much be the most happiest person in the world. I, one day would want a career in the sporting industry because of my passion for sports and for my achieve that goal is through our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the church ever since I was born. I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true, it is the only true church in this very earth. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that the Bible goes hand in hand with the Book of Mormon. Reading the Book of Mormon has never made me so much happier in my life knowing that whenever I need answers or help the answers are in the book. I know that the Book of Mormon was translated by a young prophet of Christ named Joseph Smith. We also have a living prophet today named President Thomas S. Monson who leads us to the straight and narrow path back to our Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon because I know that the teaching that are taught in church are to be real, I know that through this Gospel, we can find the true meaning of life and what true happiness feels like. I testify that these things are true, I have received many blessings and I have felt the happiness this gospel brings to my life and also to my families life.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is very simple. I love our Father in Heaven and his beloved son Jesus Christ unconditionally, and I live by their teachings. More importantly, I try to be more Christ like, and I know sometimes it's hard to be Christ like but all I can do is try my best to be one. I fulfil my church callings to the best of my ability. Most of all, I love to share the Gospel to my friends.
