Hi I'm Cassandra

I'm a missionary serving in the Thailand, Bangkok Mission. I love teaching the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've wanted to serve a mission since I was just a kid. I was home-schooled and grew up reading everything I could get my hands on, including the scriptures (although I didn't understand them at first!). I attended school as an English major at Southern Virginia University, and am a sophomore. I still love to read and write and have written two novels just for fun. I also enjoy drawing, hiking, biking, and singing.

Why I am a Mormon

The greatest thing about the gospel is how it has opened me up to an awareness of my Heavenly Father's love for me. I have felt His love, and I feel it every day as I follow His teachings. Because of His love, I know that all He wants for me is to be happy, and through the gospel and personal revelation He guides me to be the best and happiest person I can be.

How I live my faith

As a full-time missionary, I have decided to dedicate all my time to teaching and learning the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was called by a prophet to serve in the Thailand, Bangkok Mission, and I wake up every day excited to serve those around me and help others recognize the love of my Heavenly Father and the happiness they can have in this life through Him. Before my mission I attended a university that endorses Church standards. Before that, I had the opportunity to serve as a children's Sunday School teacher for the 8 to 11-year-old girls. I loved them, their faith, and all that I learned through them! I also had the opportunity over the summer to serve with a wonderful woman as leaders at a Girls Camp for the 16-year-old girls in our area. After praying and working all spring and summer to prepare for the girls in our group, I was astonished and delighted at the love I felt for them before I had even met all of the girls. Each day as I strive to prepare to serve the people of Thailand, whether it be through studying the language, studying the gospel, or studying how to help each person I come in contact with, my love for the people of Thailand grows. I love serving because it helps me feel a little of the love my Heavenly Father has for those around me.
