Hi I'm Kinsey Warburton

I'm a missionary in the Washington Tacoma Mission. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Throughout my life I've learned a lot about myself as I've experienced different things. Some things about myself that have never changed are that I love my family and friends. I love sunshine. I love chocolate. And I love taking pictures of the things I love. I was a student at BYU. But currently I am on a mission in Washington. The gospel has made my life wonderful and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share it with new friends here.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and started by using my parents testimonies. I grew up coming to church every Sunday and knew it was what I was supposed to do. In Middle School and High School, my faith wavered because I hadn't found out for myself that this gospel was true. It took me a long time to find my faith. I didn't try very hard and I didn't pray about it. When I started college at BYU a year and a half ago, I began to pray every single day. I read my scriptures every day. I went to church and REALLY listened. I listened to the prophets, I wrote down my feelings. I began to see the big picture of why I am here, and I learned of Heavenly Fathers love for me. Now, I KNOW that this church is true, that this gospel is true. I know without a doubt that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows us by name and loves us. He sent His beloved Son, Jesus Christ to earth to die for us. Because we are not perfect. We cannot be perfect. But Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself, to take our sins upon Himself, so that we could have a chance to return to Our Heavenly Father who loves us so much and wants us to come back to Him. I know that not only do we have the Atonement to thank Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for. We have prophets who guide us, families and friends who love and support us, a beautiful earth to live on with flowers and trees, sunsets, and stars, mountains and oceans, ALL around us to give us beautiful things to look at, we have homes, food, clothing, school, we have amazing things to learn, talents to grow, individual personalities. We are surrounded by tender mercies, and I can recognize them because of my faith and my testimony in this gospel. I am happy because of my testimony. I am loved and cherished. "I know it, I live it, I love it." (Ann M. Dibb.)

How I live my faith

I think the best way to really access the blessings of the gospel are to truly live what you believe. This isn't just my religion. It's a way of life. Everything I do, and everything I have, and all that I believe go back to the love that I have for my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. I live my faith by keeping the commandments, loving those around me, and doing everything I can to make myself the best person I can be as I try to become like the Savior.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Kinsey Warburton
The Atonement is the key to us getting back to Heaven to live with our Heavenly Father. Because of the Fall, none of us can be perfect. It is impossible. But because Heavenly Father loves us so much He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, here to sacrifice Himself, to suffer for all of our pains, our grief, our temptations, all of our burdens. If we accept the Atonement, then we are accepting Christ's gift to us. With this acceptance we can choose to do what is needed to return to live with our Father in Heaven who loves us dearly.
