Hi I'm Jennifer

I have lived in many places. I love to travel and explore different cultures. I am a mother of 6 children. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I am a mother of 6. Our oldest three children are married. We look forward to the coming adventure of grandparenthood (is that a word?) My husband and I have lived in various places including California, Maryland, Texas, Singapore, Utah, and we are looking forward to moving to Taiwan in July. We love to experience new cultures and meet new people. I love photography, especially taking pictures to try to capture the moments with my children as they grow at a frantic pace, or so it seems. I love reading... especially historical fiction. I love to learn, but don't really love the stress of tests. So, in my ideal world, I could audit multiple college classes and just continually be learning new things. I graduated from BYU with a degree in English and Journalism. Our oldest son and daughter just graduated from college and our son is half way through his first year of medical school. We still have a son and daughter attending college at BYU. Our greatest satisfaction has come from watching our children become amazing adults.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of my Savior. I know Him because of His church that is on the earth. I am so thankful for this restoration, that all things could be restored again. I am grateful that we could have a living prophet on the earth to reveal those things to us that we need to know for our time. I am grateful for the knowledge of the plan for each of us. What a blessing it is to know where we came from and why we are here on the earth and what our potential is.

How I live my faith

Our activity in our church is a major focus for our family. I have the opportunity of teaching an adult Sunday School class. I have really enjoyed studying and teaching from the Old Testament this past year, and I am looking forward to our study of the New Testament this coming year. I love watching our twin sons,14 years old, have opportunities in their church classes to provide leadership. They have opportunities to serve often within the community. They have both earned their Eagle Scout Award with the aid of many amazing church adult leaders. As a parent, I am so grateful for the standards that the church encourages. The "For The Strength of Youth" pamphlet is such a reliable guide for parents. Youth who follow these standards have such an advantage in this world!
