Hi I'm Heath Dooley

I'm an all around water man, Mountain biker, trumpet player, and I'm a Mormon Missionary in the Canada Halifax Mission

About Me

I have always been involved in water sports, I like to do risky things such as down hill long boarding, and big wave surfing. I enjoy mountain biking, and I have lived in Washington, California, and currently Hawaii. I currently am attending college at Brigham Young University-Hawaii, and I have many friends that go to the University of Hawaii. I am the oldest of four siblings. Within Scouting, I am the first in my family to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. I am currently on my mission in the Canada-Halifax mission, and am hoping that my younger siblings also choose to serve missions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt for myself that this Church is God's true restored church on the earth today. I felt this by praying, and seeking the Lord's will in my life. I have also found that I am happier here than I have been when I have sought after the ways of the World. We all can have the truth given to us if we seek the Lord's will in our lives.

How I live my faith

I am on my mission for The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada Halifax mission. I am often out knocking on doors, talking to people in the streets, and trying to help others come to a greater knowledge of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It's not always easy to live my faith, but I have found that as I try to live to the best of my knowledge that it becomes easier. This is a church of service, and I have always loved to help others however possible. Whether it be yard-work, moving, building, or my personal favorite: demolition; I will always help when I see the opportunity. In the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ we are told that,"...When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God (Mosiah 2:17)." I have learned, that this verse taken from a speech given by an ancient Prophet is true. When I have served others, I have felt the love that God our loving Heavenly Father has for His children,no matter what challenges or struggles they may be facing.
