Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a father of the three best kids in the world, an attorney, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the love of my life and we currently have three children (a girl and two boys). I love being a father, with all of its joys and challenges (although it's easier to love the challenges after the fact). I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Houston, Texas and loved my experiences there and the wonderful people I met. I am currently an attorney, specializing in commercial litigation and, surprisingly, I enjoy my job. I also consider myself to be a perpetual student. I love reading, both fiction and non-fiction, taking online classes for fun, and studying foreign languages (currently Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese). I also enjoy the quiet (and sometimes not-so-quiet) moments I get to spend with my wife and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought immense peace, understanding and perspective to my life. I find that as I embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ and apply them in my life, I am better equipped to handle the storms in my life and to help others do the same. The words of Jesus Christ, as found in the Bible and Book of Mormon and through the words of living apostles and prophets, have been an anchor to me and are a source of continual strength and joy. To me, religion is a very personal thing, the way an individual interacts with God. I have found, through numerous experiences, that God is also very personal and loving. He is always interested in my life and wants to help and bless me. Even when I become casual in my relationship with Him, He is always waiting for me to truly return through a change of heart and sincere prayer. Through the feelings He has given me, I have come to know the truth of the divinity of Jesus Christ, the redemptive power of his suffering for me, the principles of the Book of Mormon, and the reality of continued revelation, both personally and through living prophets. I am not special or unique in this respect. God loves each of His children and wants to impart truth to them, to the level they are willing to receive it. I would encourage any who seek a stronger relationship with God to put in the effort it takes to develop it. God asks much from His followers and friends, but only so that He can bless them more.

How I live my faith

Faith, to be effective, must be accompanied by action. I am continually striving to convert my beliefs into a way of life, through gradually applying the Atonement of Jesus Christ to improve myself and put myself into positions where I can help others. I am currently serving in an capacity in my church assignment where I have the wonderful opportunity to get to know and love others who are striving to live better lives. I also have opportunities to help others in their moments of need.
