Hi I'm Savannah Slater

I'm a girl who measures up at 4'11", loves to eat chocolate, read books and laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent graduate of Utah Valley University where I studied Community Health Education. My hobbies include getting way too emotionally attached to books and films, singing terribly in my car, and quoting Disney movies. I guess that you could say I'm a self-proclaimed nerd. I had the blessing of serving in the Nebraska Omaha Mission in addition to serving at the Mormon Trail at Winter Quarters Historical Site and it is now one of my favorite places on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the pure happiness that the gospel has brought into my life. Even thinking about it makes me smile. My family, my Heavenly Father, and my Savior Jesus Christ mean the world to me and I have been able to grow and strengthen a relationship with all of them through living the gospel. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows us individually. We are all His children. I know that Christ is our Redeemer and that He lives. He is my Savior. I know that He died for us and loves us unconditionally and I know that He is always there for us with open arms. I love this gospel and am so thankful to be a part of it. The church is true. I know it and I can't deny it.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the LDS faith so even though I have always had the gospel, I have had the opportunity to learn more about it throughout my life and have come to gain a testimony of my own. I try to live each day by being an example of Jesus Christ and by doing what he would do. I'm definitely not perfect, but I do my best to serve and love others because we are all children of God. We are brothers and sisters. And I try my very hardest to let others know how important and special they are and that they are never alone and are loved.
