Hi I'm Katherine

I'm from Southern California and I'm serving as an English speaking missionary in the Missouri St. Louis Mission.

About Me

Before serving a mission, I attended community college majoring in English. I plan to return to school after I finish serving my mission and possibly changing my major to Art History. I love to read. Some of my favorite genres are: Young Adult and LDS Fiction/Romance. When I'm not reading or reorganizing my shelves, I can sometimes be found playing with my little brother or watching a murder mystery with my mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are true. That when I am obedient to the teachings and principles of the gospel my life is so much better. I know that when life is hard and trials seem without end that I can turn to my Savior, Jesus Christ, for comfort and strength. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that as we read and study the Book of Mormon we can better understand the Bible and its teachings. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us. And that when we trust Him and His timing, Heavenly Father will bless our lives and present us with opportunities we never imagined were possible.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I wasn't always active in the Church and would sometimes go for months without attending. However, during the end of my senior year of high school I got really involved and after graduating began attending a YSA ward ( a congregation for young people ages 18 to 30). Shortly after that, I became involved in my ward's leadership. Currently, I am serving as an English speaking missionary in the Missouri St. Louis Mission. While I've been out, I've learned much more about the doctrine and of my relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ, through study and prayer.
