Hi I'm Allison

I grew up moving around the west. I'm an actress and dancer. I'm a sister and daughter and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One thing I really identify with is dance. I've done classical and modern ballet for somewhere around 15 years now and I absolutely love it. I find that dance is a fantastic outlet and an awesome way to express how I feel about life. After dance, my next favorite hobby is acting. I'm a theatre major at Lansing Community College and I really enjoy the program. Acting is fun because it's just a big orchestrated game of pretend. I've always loved playing pretend. I am one of 4 children. In order we go: Christian (21, soon will be off his mission in Ecuador), Allison (myself, 19), Heidi (17, my best friend, senior in HS), and then Hyrum (15, lady killer, sophomore in HS) My mother homeschooled us all for most of our lives. I started public school in 8th grade. Some people think homeschooling impairs kids' social skills, but talk to any of us for about 10 minutes and you'll know that's definitely not the case. I've moved around 18-20 time in my lifetime (I've lost count). I actually love moving and learning about new places and meeting all kinds of people. We've lived in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Idaho, Nebraska and Michigan. One awesome thing that I've learned from moving around some much is how constant The Church is. No matter where you go the structure and teachings are the same, because that's how God planned it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents showed me and my siblings so much love through the Gospel. I love knowing my own divine potential and the potential of those around me. I was raised in the church, but don't for a second think I was ever forced to participate against my own will. My parents are strong believers that we all should learn how to exercise our agency from a young age, so they have let us. I love my church and the happiness and fullness it brings. I feel great peace in knowing that this life is not all we have, even that our time on Earth is but a small grain of time compared to the eternity we can have with Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am currently called to serve as a full-time missionary for the church. As full-time missionaries, our job is to seek out the people who are earnestly searching to have the Gospel in their lives and to teach them how they might come unto Christ. We will do everything we can to extend our love and the love of the Savior to those who need it and search for it. I hope to be able to help people come to know their full potential and calling in the Kingdom of God, and to recognize their own divine nature. Something I believe really strongly is that everyone should feel loved and everyone should know how important they are and how necessary and needed they are in God's plan so that they will know that they never ever need to feel like they are alone or abandoned by all.
