Hi I'm Boyd Woolsey

Hi, I am a Family Man, Military Man who works in Healthcare and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I spent 25 years in the United States Navy and Air Force and had the chance to visit many wonderful places. While in the Air Force Reserves, I was privileged to serve the people of the Kingdom of Morocco as well as the folks in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. This was all possible due to the love and support of my wife of 30 years and a fantastic family. Being away taught me the importance of relying on good honest people and there is so much beauty and love in the world

Why I am a Mormon

I have found solitude and healing by being a Mormon. I have felt the love of the people I served while on a mission in Tennessee and seeing the change to many lives due to Lord's restored church on the earth today. I am grateful for a living prophet who guides us in these latter days along with the 12 apostles who provide provident living ideas on why each of everyone of us as brothers and sisters of this world need to look for the good, provide a helping hand and a kind word. I find peace and joy in continuing revelation and being able to trace my family roots to turn the hearts of the children to their fathers. With the love I have for the Bible, having another testament of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon strengthens my love for Jesus and the many wonderful acts of kindness and service to each of us. Understanding that he died for our sins and was resurrected so that we can be brings a sense of peace and not finality when we die. To know that there is life after death, to be with our family and loved ones brings a sense of calm in a world that can be overwhelming at times. All this is possible in the important work of Temples and family history. Learning that I come from a long line of good and faithful ancestors makes me want to carry on there legacy and to look them in the eye when we meet again to let them know I lived up to my heritage and brought honor to them but most of all to God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day by being kind and respectful to everyone I come in contact with. I have the opportunity to provide service in so many interesting ways. Whether its working on a farm, visiting the sick in the hospital, looking in on folks that are home bound, providing comforting words at a funeral, ensuring members of my community receive visits each month to ensure they are cared for and feel they matter, to teaching 5 year old's about how God and Jesus Christ is a honor and a blessing

Why is family so important to Mormons?
