Hi I'm Stine

I'm from San Francisco. I love avocados. I'm Swedish. I'm a ballet dancer and cat enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Just for clarification: You pronounce my name "Stina" (like Christina). I grew up on the San Francisco peninsula where I was raised on fog and Farmer's Markets. I danced ballet for ten years and loved every moment of it. But I traded my ballet shoes for flip flops when I moved to Hawaii to go to college at the Brigham Young University campus on Oahu. I just finished my second semester there and I'm double majoring in biomedicine and nutrition. I love avocados, SCUBA diving, hiking, and my cat, Macy. I'm an expert at making classic cheese quesadillas. My parents blessed me with genes that make me ridiculously tall. I'm currently serving a full-time mission in the Chicago area, where I am learning to tolerate the snow.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but my parents have always made it known that participation in the church was my choice. I go to church every Sunday, but wish that I could go more often so that I can feel the Spirit that is created in the service. I feel my Savior's love in my life daily by simple reminders, such as a comforting feeling, or the sunshine upon my face. I know that He loves me, and I love Him, and I show my love for Him by keeping His commandments. Knowing that I have a Savior that loves me and who died so that I will live again with my family forever is so comforting to me. Having a testimony (a belief) in someone who knows who I am and what I feel gives me hope and reassurance that I can get through any trial that I face.

How I live my faith

I'm serving a mission in Chicago, Illinois. I love the gospel, and I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. By inviting others to come unto them, I can feel my own testimony growing. By obeying the commandments of God, I show Him how much I love Him. Although sometimes I make mistakes (like everyone else), I know that I can repent, be clean, and try harder to keep the commandments. Sharing this message with others is the greatest opportunity that I have ever received! Seeing people say their first prayer and seeing people have a mighty change of heart gives me an inexpressible amount of joy.
