Hi I'm Serena

I am from Maui, Hawaii. I play the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the piano and like to use my skills to help other people. I am an elementary education major in college because I love teaching kids and being around them everyday. Music is a big part of my life as well as teaching people the things I have learned. When I play or listen to music I can share my love for everything I have in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel through The Book of Mormon. I read The Book of Mormon for the first time and asked to know if what was written was true. When I did this I had a warm feeling in my heart and I knew it was the Holy Ghost testifying to me that the stories told in The Book of Mormon were true. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane so that we can return back to Heaven again. I have chosen to be numbered as one of the Christ of Christ and I have taken upon his name to stand as a witness of the truthfulness of the Gospel. The peace and joy I receive when living the gospel is incredible is not found anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I have served as a ward pianist sharing my talent of playing the piano with everyone that attends the meetings. When I play the church hymns I share my testimony of the gospel through the music I share. I also enjoy doing my family history or genealogy. When I can find out how my ancestors lived their lives and what they sacrificed for our family I want to become just like them. Knowing the stories that I know about how my family members were courageous and faithful saints of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints it helps me to keep going and follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
