Hi I'm Jessica Cook Mitchell

I'm from Bonney Lake, Washington and I am part of a family of 8. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jessica. I have been a member all of my life and I have loved it for as long as I can remember. I have a huge family of 8 people and they mean everything to me. I have always loved being a part of this family that keeps me grounded and every single one of them are amazing examples I can look towards. They are some of my best friends and I just can't explain how grateful I am that I was born into a family like this. I am now in college and it is a little harder to be away from them. However, being at a school where I can share my religion freely with the people around me makes it much easier.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the blessing of being able to grow up and be born into a family that had this truth. I have always loved going to church and the feelings and safety I received when attending. It was not until middle school when I actually realized the truth behind the words "having your OWN testimony". Without even realizing it I think until then I just went to church because it was out of habit and I never had to experience the evils of the real world. When I started to having to choose to stand alone for whats right even when it was friends that I had my whole life growing up in the church is when I received my own testimony of this wonderful church. I have learned that it is not always going to be easy to do so, but even when you feel like you are standing alone you never really are because the Lord is proud of you for choosing right and he is always standing right there with you.

How I live my faith

Being as young as I am I have only had the opportunity to help in callings for my church such as coming up with ideas for activities for the youth of my church while I was a youth. I have recently received a calling to be a family history consultant and I am so excited for it! My dad has been really into Family History while I was growing up and now I am excited that I get to be a part of it as well. I also just received my visiting teaching companion and all of the women I get the opportunity to visit with. I am very excited for these callings and getting to see how it all goes for me.
