Hi I'm Cayden

I grew up in Layton, Utah. I am a lover of Debate and all things political. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently living with my family in Utah, I am a young man with a love of life. To just live and experience this life is one of my greatest joys and I wake up every day looking for ways in which I am able to expericence all that life has to offer. Ive grown up with a love of arguing. From an early age I would argue with my parents about everything that happened to me. Thats why in high school I joined Debate and havent looked back since. I am about to serve my savior on a two year mission in the Pacific Islands. I look forward to serving others in this beautiful area of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

Unlike many others of this Earth, I was immensly blessed to bo born into a family that was strong in the Gospel. While manty may say that I didnt choose this and it was forced upon me, that wasent the case. My parents were always strong in telling me to choose for myself and decide if this was somthing that I really believed, and would want to spend the rest of my life living. It was because of this prodding that I have and will always adhere to a strong testimony. I know that my Savior lives. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith saw him and the Father in the spring of 1820, and through him, the Book of Mormon was translated and shared with the world. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the mouthpiece of God, and I love and follow his teachings. Even though I have had my trials, and had many short comings, I still know that my Father in Heaven loves me. This means that I must do all in my power to serve his children and follow all the teachings of his Prophet. Of all of these things I bear personal witness in the sacred name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love serving my savior and I currently am teaching a childrens class in my ward. My CTR 5 class of 6-7 year olds are a rambuncious lovable bunch who I love and look forward to teaching each week. Their energy and idealistic view strengthens my testimony and shows me that life truly is a wonderful place. I am about to serve my Savior on a two year mission to proclaim his gospel in the Micronesia, Guam, Mission. I look forward to helping those that stand in need of help and serving my fellow man. From an early age I have always look for ways in which i can follow the Saviors example and help everyone I come into contact with and serve all those that are within my ability to do so. One of the easist ways to do that is in my home teaching, where I am able to help and teach two young families, and serve them at every possible encounter. That truly is what I feel my religion is all about.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Cayden
Our Father in Heaven has done so much for us. As the lords prayer indicates, he gives us our daily bread, he forgives our debts, and he delivers us from evil. He is also an all powerful, all knowing god, and as the popular saying goes, what do you get for someone that has everything. One of the only things that we as memebers are able to give the Lord that he dosent already have is our time. We choose to serve in church callings because not only does it show our love and apprecation for our Heavenly Father, but he allows our callings to help us and teach us things we woudlent otherwise learn. We choose not to be paid to serve in these callings because we want to help, and not for personal gain. Show more Show less
