Hi I'm Gatlin Brown

I was born in Washington. I love serving others, I am a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born the fifth child out of six to two wonderful parents. I have lived in the same house all my life and have loved every minute of it. I was blessed to have been raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I enjoy doing service for other, hanging out with friends, drawing, music, and video games. I love the opportunity that i have to be serving a full-time Mission for the next two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but I wasn't converted to it until I was about 14. While i was in middle school my Grandmother passed away and all i remember was feeling angry at my Heavenly Father. It wasn't until I started Seminary that following school year that everything changed. We were studying The Book of Mormon that year and our teachers challenged us to read it from front to back. I took up that challenge and as the year went on i got closer and closer to my Heavenly Father and the truthfulness of the gospel. At the end of the year we had a small little testimony meeting to close that year of seminary. When I stood up to bear my testimony I had an overwhelming feeling that it was all true. Jesus is the Christ and he atoned for our sins. Heavenly Father and Jesus are separate beings made of flesh and bone like us. Joseph Smith was a Prophet called of God he translated the Book of Mormon from the gold plates and restored the Church of Jesus Christ back to the Earth. I know we have a living Prophet Thomas S. Monson who gives us revaluation from God to help us better our selves and prepare for the second coming. I know that if we put forth the effort God will give us the influence of the Holy Ghost to help guide us and chose the right. I am grateful to be a member of the true and everlasting Gospel of God.

How I live my faith

I have always been taught that service is one of the ways that we show our love for our fellow brothers and sisters in this world. That is why I love the Scouting program I have had the opportunity to serve on so many levels. Obtaining my Eagle and the service that it entails. I also love the fact that the church is so focused on serving others. I love having the opportunity to serve the Cub Scout program as an assistant den leader for the Wolf Cubs. But now I get to serve my fellow brothers and sisters as a full-time Missionary I am serving the wonderful people of the Southern States. I love every minute I get to help others strengthen there faith in Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I love going out everyday and knocking on doors to teach people about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
