Hi I'm Raymond Krebs

I grew up in District Heights, Md. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon

About Me

I like working outside. Before I retired I was in charge of the underground utilities at a government site. I have been fortunate to have held a few callings in the church. Each one has offered a new growing experience. My wife and I have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. They live around the country so it is awesome to get to see them several times a year. I was a convert. I married a Mormon and it took me about 5 years to come to know that this is the Lord's church and the many blessings that come to one that strives to obey the Lord's commandments. I served in the U.S. Navy for 3yrs during the Vietnam war. Learned how to weld. It was a great trade and one that paid our bills.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because of my wife. She is a Mormon and I was not when we got married. It took here about 5 years to get me but it happened after many Missionary discussions. I was not a easy conversion. I fought it most of the way and even made the Missionaries teach me out of the Bible not the Book of Mormon since I did not believe in it. It took me to join the church before I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I continue in the faith because I know that this is the Lord's church. The only one on the face of the earth that has all the keys necessary to help us to return to our Father in Heaven. We have the blessing of being sealed as a family for time and all eternity. It gives me the strength necessary to move forward each day.

How I live my faith

I strive to do what Heavenly Father wants of me. I have been a Bishop, a councilor to 2 Bishops, a member of the High Council, a Sunday school teacher, a ward mission leader, a stake missionary, a building coordinator. Each calling has taught me something new about the gospel. Each one has helped my faith grow. It is about service to the Lord's children. When you are in the service of your fellow man you are in the serve of the Lord. You can find great happiness hen you extend yourself for others. Giving of your time and talents not only blesses someone's life but it brings blessing into your life.
