Hi I'm Riley

I've grown up in Utah. I am a practitioner of digital and 3-d art. I am a latter day saint looking spread the love of Christ.

About Me

I am a ginormous fan of concept art, illustration, animation, digital art, etc. I plan to major in illustration and technology management. I am a big fan of everything Disney and Pixar. My big hobbies include drawing, gaming, and reading. I love to help people grow and help them towards goals that they have in life. My hope is one day to create something life changing with the connections and dreams of those people who I associate with in my life time here on Earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints ("The Mormon Church") because it is where I have felt the spirit of god burn the brightest in my petite two decades on this Earth so far. I was born into the church, however I spent a good majority of the time "riding the line" inside and outside of it. For the longest time while growing up when I was attending church, it was more because of it being the cultural thing to be doing. As I got older and further away from the church, things got harder and the burdens heavier. It was at the time that I realized that as human being, I am just not strong enough to take on my burdens and the burdens that the world had to give as well. I would say that is when I sincerely turned to God and relinquished the heavy grip I wanted to hold over the control of my life, praying for direction and for the means of feeling happy again. As it so happened, my ward contained what seemed like the most persistent group of young men on the planet when it came to trying to get fellow inactive young men to come back to church. Previously I had wanted nothing to do with any church activity, but after turning to God asking for the peace and direction which I so hungrily desired, I was prompted to become engaged with the group. Thanks to that prompting I began to build up friendships that had been diminished over time. I found a community that was willing to listen, and desiring to help build me up to be the best I can become. Now, I wish in turn to contribute to the light that was offered me in my darkest days. To build up those who have fallen, and to strengthen those who have risen. I am a latter day saint (Mormon) because I feel that this is where I belong and where I will receive the greatest "fuel" to fan the flames of passion in my heart to do the work of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a way knowing that each day should be a little bit better than the last. I do my best to live my core beliefs of love, faith, and charity taught by Jesus Christ. I do my best to raise up and offer service to those who reach out. I live my faith knowing that I am not perfect, and that I have a lot to learn in this life. I move forward daily looking to better the quality of life for my self and all those I come into contact with.
